ALOHA! The Royal Hawaiian Mint Lives!
Now for the first time in nine years, our favorite little Mint is back in production.
As you may recall, I leased the Mint when I retired nine years ago to devote
my time to the Liberty Dollar on the Mainland. Unfortunately the Mint did very
little until just recently when Bud Gregory in Honolulu leased it. Very quickly
Bud has a new building under construction and promises a new life for the old
Mint that just celebrated its 33rd Anniversary on September 11.
To get things moving along I issued a new collection of Hawaii Dalas in January
2007. Utilizing the six best "mega" Royal Hawaiian Mint designs in
three denominations -- $20, $10 and $5 -- I am issuing one design in a different
size each month for a total of 18 Dalas in 18 months. Of course, true to Hawaiian
Time, the schedule is a bit behind, but oh what a great issue! Please read pages
two and three for all the details.
Now, the most important Dala was just issued! On August 29, Telle Presley and
I were in Honolulu for the introduction of the $1 Kamehameha Dala silver certificate.
The Press Conference was well-attended and the new Dala was featured on TV ten
times in 24 hours plus numerous news articles. The $1 Kamehameha Dala silver
certificate features the original artwork by noted artist and friend, Wayne
Takazono, who is also identified as the Warehouse Official. The $1 Silver Certificate
is a genuine Warehouse Receipt that is 100% backed and 100% redeemable for Silver
Dalas stored in Honolulu. Now, Hawaii residents can protect their purchasing
power by using a currency that appreciates in value so they can enjoy Hawaii
more. The Hawaii Dala silver certificate is real money and a great collectable...
for only a buck!

he brought to his island nation. He revived the hula, built Iolani Palace, was the first reigning
monarch to travel around the world and issued Hawaii's only silver coinage in 1883.

Warrior of Hawaii
Kamehameha was bigger, stronger and fiercer in battle than anyone. After the Battle of Nuuanu,
Kamehameha became a true father to his people and proved to be as wise as he was brutal in battle.
He maintained the ancient traditions, welcomed the innovations and was the first Hawaiian to accept
gold and silver as money.

Discoverers of Hawaii
The Polynesians discovered Hawaii in the first century according to the latest carbon tests.
The 2000th anniversary of this historic event was commemorated with the legendary Ho'omaha'o Dala
in 2000. The design is based on live sketches that feature two native Hawaiians at the time of
discovery by John Webber, the official artist on Captain James Cook's ship when he discovered Hawaii
in 1778.

My past nine years on the Mainland in support of the Liberty Dollar and its
cause for real money that is "inflation proof" has been richly rewarding.
And although that work is not done, nor may it be in my lifetime, it is now
time to for other projects in my life.
So it is with great pleasure for me to welcome you to the first Mintline in
nine years! I have taken the best results of my work with the Liberty Dollar
and Hawaiianized them. Of course this is most fitting as the whole idea for
the Liberty Dollar started with my desire to do a functioning currency for Hawaii.
I invite you to delve into the Liberty Dollar, my philanthropic work to return
our great country to a value based monetary system at www.LibertyDollar.org.
Please visit www.HawaiiDala.com, read the Introduction for much greater detail
